The latest offering from TUMI music, this is a great CD of Eastern Cuban campesino (country) music for hot summer evenings. Based in Manzanillo, home of Candido Fabre and David Alvarez, Grupo Eduardo Saborit owe their name to the late great composer of the famous song ‘Que Linda es Cuba’. Recorded in Cuba very recently, the album has a rich range of son montunos, sones, Guarachas, cumbias and a conga. Led by Eleodora Leon, the 8 piece band stay close to their country roots mostly using several ‘tres’ guitars. Their songs, as country music worldwide, sing of love lost and lamented, jealousy and lust.
