Having fulfilled many of his life dreams, such as singing with Benny Moré and at Carnegie Hall, New York, this album shows Ibrahim Ferrer had one last dream: to record and make his own, many of the great boleros. Completed after his death in 2005, (some of the vocals had to be taken from high-quality demo tapes), this shows him still in complete command of the songs with an appropriate air of nostalgia. His voice seemed to get better and better and the beautiful piano playing from Roberto Fonseca is a perfect accompaniment. His previous album Buenos Hermanos showed he was still part of the cutting edge for bailable (dance) music; this one is a fitting end to a glorious career.
