This book is an excellent history of salsa, with insights from all those who made the music happen; extremely supportive of the Cuban revolution’s role in developing and nurturing musical talent. It slightly suffers from no update so there is nothing about the Timba beyond the early days of NG La Banda, but still an interesting and informative read.
